There are a number of things you need to do. Some you will need to do on a daily or weekly basis. For this you will need routine.
1. You need to make sure that your site and sales letter is keyword rich. Also your meta tags need to be search engine friendly. There are many free products that can do a keyword search for you. You will then be able to make sure that the keywords you are using are the ones being searched for.
2. You will need to make frequent posts at forums that are related to your niche. How you go about this is see what threads are being discussed and make a comment or post a question. Never advertise your product or business here, just leave comments. Most forums will allow you to have a signature at the end of each post. This signature needs to contain brief information about your site and a link back to your site.
This does two things. 1. It invites readers of your post to look at your site. And 2. It creates links back to your site that the search engines are looking for. This gives your site a more important standing in the sight of the search engines. All this helps to work your way to the first page in the search engines.
3. A very effective way of bringing traffic to your site is through article writing. This is crucial to the success of your internet business. Article writing can help you achieve first page in the search engines. You are also promoting your product in a roundabout way. You will need to have links back to your site in the Bio Box. This is an effective way of promoting your site. Your article may even be taken up by an ezine publisher and distributed to thousands or even hundreds of thousands of readers. This alone can create sales. Your articles may continue to work for you for years to come.
The traffic building strategies discussed here are all free. They do cost, however, in your time and effort but they will all help you to achieve that first sale. And then other sales will follow.
